Biographies

Rev. Michael Densmoor

Rev. Michael Densmoor left his computer engineer career at Motorola, USA and came to Indonesia as a missionary in 1990. Together with other pastors, he established a ministry to the abandoned ethnics. Right now, there are more than 170 church planters that joined that ministry. In 2005, Rev. Michael was ordained as a pastor at RECI and in 2009 started to minister as English pastor at RECI Kemayoran. Rev. Michael had studied at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School School in Deerfield, Illinois for the M.Div program but left for Indonesia before finishing his study. He is also a missiology professor at Reformed Evangelical Bible Seminary International in Jakarta.

Pdt. Billy Kristanto, Ph.D., Th.D.

After completing his music studies at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin in 1996 the Rev. Billy Kristanto continued post-graduate studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium (Royal Conservatory). He served as Evangelist Music in the Evangelical Reformed Church of Indonesia (GRII) Jakarta since February 1999 and in the same year began his studies at the Institute of Reformed Theology. After graduating in 2002 with a Master of Christian Studies (MCS), he served as Dean of the School of Music at the Institute of Reformed Jakarta. Synods ordained a priest in 2005 he GRII currently MRII feed the church of Berlin, MRII Hamburg, and PRII München. Currently he is completing doctoral studies in philosophy at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. He is married to Suzianti Herath and have two children, Pristine Kristanto Gottlob and Gottlieb Fidelle Kristanto.

Pdt. Sutjipto Subeno, M.Div.

Rev. Sutjipto Subeno S.Th., M.Div., Was born in Jakarta in 1959. He gave himself up to be a servant of the Lord while studying at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Trisakti University. Rev. Sutjipto completed his Bachelor of Theology at the Evangelical Reformed STT Jakarta Indonesia in 1995 and Master of Divinity at the same school in 1996.

After his ministry in Malang and Madura, since 1990, Rev. Sutjipto joined the National Office of the Evangelical Reformed Institute of Indonesia in Jakarta. He served in the field of literature which includes translation and publication of theology books. In addition, he also manages Momentum Christian Literature at Jl. Tanah Abang III / 1 (since 1993) and on Jl. 5A-5B Cideng East (since 1995).

He was ordained as a minister in May 1996 and became the senior pastor at GRII Surabaya in June 1996. Aside from being a pastor, he is also currently a director of operations of the publishing and bookstore network Momentum and director of the International Reformed Evangelical Correspondence Study (IRECS), a correspondence school of theology for the laity in Bahasa Indonesia with an international reach. In addition he is a lecturer in Jakarta and at STRI Reformed Institute in Jakarta.

Rev. Sutjipto preaches and conducts seminars in various churches, community colleges and community offices within Indonesia and overseas such as Yogyakarta, Palembang, Batam, Singapore, Australia and Europe (Germany and the Netherlands).

He is married to Ev. Susiana J Subeno with two children, Samantha Subeno (1994) and Sebastian Subeno (1998).

Ev. David Tong, Ph.D.

Ev. David received the calling to be a full time pastor when he was 12 years old. Post graduation from Calvin College in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Philosophy in 1999, David pursued doctoral study in Physics, concentrating in Experimental Atomic, Optical and Molecular Physics at University of Connecticut (1999-2007, defense 2010). In 2007-2010, David studied under the M.A.R. Theological Studies at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia. Currently, he is continuing with doctoral program in Apologetics at Westminster Theological Seminary.

He has ministered at RECI-Boston since 2001 and become the caretaker since 2004, also the caretaker of RECI-LA and RECI-SLC in 2009. Married to Fonny Adisatrio (2001) with four children, Daniel (2002), Grace (2006), Jehonathan (2009), and Athalia (2011).
